Family Shower

Thank you Sara, Megan, and Holly for the wonderful shower.

I had so much fun.

The food was delicious.

The game was funny and insightful

and the company was AWESOME!

So today is payday,

great day

i love watching my bank accounts increase....

for now

however....

I was talking to B and we just realized,

I only have 3 paydays until I get married!!!

That makes it seem so much closer.

Holy crap!

How can you not love today?

My day started off with this...

Made me 45 mins late to work

gave me a slight back ache

but will be filled with LOTS of this so everything is alright! HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!

How can time go so FAST and SLOW at the same time?

We technically started here...

Everybody else found out here...

Now we are here...

and we'll soon be here...

and then I get to go here...

and spend a week with just the 2 of us.... and it will be completely legal.

One year ago....

(on March 1st- Happy Birthday J)

I went to this kids house...

met this crazy group of people....

a few months later we spent MANY hours traveling to Peru...

during the first day of our incredible journey we bonded so ...

7 days later I kissed him here (before all the people came)

after we got back, we started hanging out, ALL THE TIME....

Then we caught the garter and bouquet at B's wedding and 2 months later he asked (SURPRISE AUBREY and Lang family)...

We went to Texas for another wedding...

and 76 days from now it will FINALLY be our turn!!!

We have had many adventures, sicknesses, trials, tribulations, laughs, memories... etc and MANY more to come. I am glad I took the chance and went to PERU, not only did it put another stamp in my passport, provided me with new friends, gave me some great memories, provided me with the opportunity to serve, let me live the simple life for 10 days... it helped me to meet and get to know

(in a VERY unconventional way...

no electricity

no technology

no makeup

no hair products

no cares

no worries

no work

little food

little sleep

etc...)

I will no longer be doing this... 2 times a year. My dentist (who is in my top 5 favorite people) has sold his practice I am devestated. I LOVE the dentist. My world is falling apart. I feel the need to eat lots of sugary goods.... and not brush my teeth. Happy Thursday. Lucky for me I am going to Texas with Jon this weekend to FINALLY witness George and Bethany get married. I am SO excited. I met Beta in Ghana 3 years ago and have been anxiously waiting for this day. Hopefully this will help heal my pain.

The dress has been purchased!!!! Check that big "to do" off the list.

5 months from today I will be a married woman, I should probably start planning.

The Proposal

So pretty much I don't have time to type details, here are the highlites:

Jon COMPLETELY surprised me.

I didn't answer him for a few seconds because I was SPEECHLESS.

I had cue cards and still struggled

The ring we are having made won't be ready for a few weeks

The ring he gave me is getting resized but will move to my right hand

It was PERFECT

I can't believe he pulled it off.

The UTES won!

His sister and brother in law helped with the whole thing

He knew this would be a perfect setting

It was FREEZING!

I repeatedly asked if he was being serious

He knew not to put it on the jumbotron during the game

Apparently I saw the ring box a few days before...

I can't believe it really happened

There is video footage of this whole event

Im thankful for the footage because otherwise I wouldn't have remembered what happened

Jon was prepared for me to pass out

I finally said YES

He accomplished his goal of having it be a complete surprise

The plan is we are getting married on MAY 15th!

I am one lucky girl...

I got a visit from a cute boy *randomly at work who didn't want to show up empty-handed so he brought me these for no reason at all. I was speechless.

*I honestly had no idea. He told me he was one his way to work. We were walking out the door to go visit a patient. My boss stepped out the door and had this look on her face. I locked the door and stepped out to see him walking down the hall with flowers and a big smile. He's the one who had a big test today. Shouldn't I be the one doing something for him? How lucky am I...

Dear October, Where did your friend September go? Even though you snuck up on me, I am glad you are here. Here is what I look forward to you bringing me:

• More football games
• General Conference
• a VIDA reunion?
• watching my baby brother turn one year older
• the marriage of the final friend (and the best one... I'm the winner, I held out the longest!)
• Possible snow
• Crisp fall mornings
• Possibly hearing from a grad school or two
• more fun times
• one month closer to 2010
• Colors changing
• a trip to San Fran
• a new employee in my office (I am so excited!)
