Jon LOVES sports
(This is an understatement)...any sport, if it can be turned into a competition, he'll participate.
He plays in both a co-ed and a mens league for softball.
Last summer I was a fan, and the random girl that would fill in
This year I am the official back up
and the loyal fan (that what one of his teammates called me)
Last wendesday...it snowed.
Last night...it was windy and cold.
Both nights I got my Murray blanket and faithfully sat in the bleachers
His men's team is awesome.
Most of the time they are winning by 20 ish run so they turn it into a homerun derby.
2 softball games a week for the next 3 months....
YEAH!

Something kind of different...
Since I am sure you all are a little sick of the count down posts, here is something different. It still involves Jon and I so... This picture is kind of where Jon and I's relationship began. It is in Morallios (the village we volunteered in). I followed him around like a puppy dog (he says I didn't and that he tried to get my attention because he felt like I didn't notice him)
Then we fast forward to here
(5 ish days later- May 17, 2009 to be exact).
After going to Machu Picchu (where I thought our first kiss would be... long story) we ended up right here, had our first kiss (without all the people around) and 363 days later we're getting married.
(this picture is actually 10 mins after our first kiss, exact location)
I like the story of how we started.
I used to joke around with Rylee and Bridget and say it would be a cool story to tell kids and grandkids one day....
(because I didn't think we would get this far)
Well in MANY MANY years I will be able to tell them.
I also like to tell Jon since we started out on a humanitarian trip in a foreign country we HAVE to go back often!
(not top Peru, just anywhere and volunteer)
Crazy how life works isn't it.

not months
or weeks
days.
yep DAYS!

"Next weekend!"

Yep that's what I tell people when they ask when I am getting married.

Wow.

What else?

In 15 days I will become Mrs. Hansen, you may wonder....

"Aubrey what else happened on that day...?"

Well my friends, I along with Wikipedia are here to enlighten you.

1718: James Puckle patents the world's first machine gun.

1850: The Bloody Island Massacre takes place in California.

1817: The 1st private mental institution opens in the U.S.A.

1905: Las Vegas, Nevada is founded.

1928: Mickey Mouse premiered in his 1st cartoon.

1940: McDonald's opened its 1st restaurant.

1943: Joseph Stalin dissolves the Comintern.

Those are a few of the important events. (ha ha)

but the MOST important...

2010: Jon and Aubrey get hitched!

and in 18 days I will officially get to!

PLEASE LET IT BE MAY 15th ALREADY!!! I NEED A VACATION AND A WEDDING!

CrAzYtOwN...
I am currently residing there.
I will be back May 16th.

Jon and I are the same age for about 3 1/2 months...
until August when I turn 25.... WOW thats old
24 is also important because it is the number of days we have left!

Does anybody else remember this?
Carrie and Bridget thought I was weird but we watched the Silly Symphonies ALL the time... I think this one and The China Shop were the top for me.
Speaking of movies back in the day.... I need to watch Babes in Toy Land.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JON!!!Thanks for sticking by me for the last year through all the ups and downs. Since we met I have:
- been on a Peruvian adventure
- suffered through the "leg plague"
- Had pink eye
- been to the ER 5 times
- had mono
- was sick over Christmas
- got in a car accident
- figured out many of my good and bad qualities
- found out how amazing it is to be loved
- had so many funny nights
- opened up to you (probably more then you would like)
- learned my life can always be better
- learned I can always change something I don't like
- been introduced to many wonderful people
- been comforted many times
- learned how hard a relationship can be
- learned how rewarding it is to work hard for us
- learned how strong our relationship is
- learned our love only gets stronger with every new day, adventure, trial, etc.
- learned how nice it is to have somebody CONSTANTLY making sure I am happy (no matter how ridiculous the request)
- learned I can be happy even during the hard times
- learned to look at the bright side of things
- learned I can love, be loved, and let somebody in
- learned more things then I can ever imagine
- changed constantly
- been happier then EVER!
I could list MANY MANY more things good and bad but the most important is...
I have and continue to fall in love with you every day.
I learn more about us and am EXTREMELY grateful for you and our LONG engagement
(for us it worked, it was hard but we needed the time)
I LOVE YOU!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I look forward to an eternity of celebration with you.
25 DAYS!!!!!

Thats right folks....
We started with this number in WEEKS
and now we are down to the same number in DAYS.

DELICIOUS...

So we have been celebrating like crazy... everybody in the Hansen clan was born in April.... well almost.

Grandma Jensen

Scott

Pam

Jon- Happy Birthday babe!

Stacy

Grandpa Jensen

a few cousins...

and I am sure a few that I forgot... sorry

Well last night we had a surprise party at the Bandley home and I tasted the greatest thing on earth!!

First of all I LOVE...

Ice cream

peanutbutter

candy

brownies

cookies

sugar

the combination of chocolate and peanutbutter

etc.

Well Rachel made the most DELICIOUS dessert I have ever tasted.

chocolate chip brownies

vanilla ice cream, peanutbutter, and reeses peanutbutter cups mixed

spread it ontop of the brownies

topped it with crumbled chips-ahoy

and put it in the freezer.

I personally could have eaten the entire pan. Sadly there were a lot of people there and we each had a piece. She also had chocolate and caramel sauce to top it with. I didn't feel the need to ruin a good thing so I just left it plain.... it would have tasted good with cool whip though (another love of mine)

Thank you Hansen's for being born and giving us reasons to celebrate. Thank you Rachel for introducing me to my new favorite combination.... Lucky for me it takes a little effort to make, effort I can put forth right now, so I wont make it and eat the whole pan myself.

Have a great day!

Really 36 days?

I need to breathe.

3 posts in one day... go me

guess what today is....

PAY DAY.

Remember when I said I have 3 left.

Well now its two.

Time is flying by.

I don't think it has hit me yet.

I feel like I have been engaged for so long.

I don't think i realize how drastically things are going to change...

and how SOON it is going to happen.

CRAZY!

My new read...
I understand I am not married (yet) but after talking to a girl at work (who is getting a divorce) and my boss (who has been married for almost 2 years) and Bridget (who just hit the 7 month mark!)
B and I decided we should read this book.So I got it yesterday and it is VERY insightful.
(the parts I have read so far)
Thought of the day from the book...
"I am amazed by how many individuals mess up every new day with yesterday."
which then made me think of this quote from my sidebar
"Recycling regrets doesn't change reality. Pawing through the past is not productive...Too much attention to what might have been actually gets in the way of what can still be."
-Elder Neal A. Maxwell
So relationship advice of the day
(not that I am an expert by any means)
Forget about what happen yesterday and live in the moment.

I AM FINALLY GOING!!!!
Anybody who knows me knows I LOVE these...
Thanks to a thoughtful fiance I get to go enjoy them here...
and listen to one of my favorites... This is going to make my already favorite holiday SO much better.
I just love that man!
and in 37.5 days he will be my husband!

I'm in LOVE, I'm in LOVE and I don't care who knows it...
This is our old water cooler...
dipensed room temperature water
held together by a binder clip
dispenses water at a snails pace
broken hot water handle
dispensed funky tasting water
.....
and this gem is our new baby
it puts out nice crisp cool water
at waterfall pace
and tastes DELICIOUS....
Love it!

Look what Sam and I did!
Samantha and I dyed eggs and then bedazzled them. They look AMAZING. We are proud parents of these beauties.... and they taste good too.
HAPPY EASTER!
