To comment or not to comment, that is the question
So I was talking to my friend Amber the other day about how much we love to blog/facebook stalk people (private blogs do not make this fun) It was quite the conversation as she was currently stalking someone. Funny thing is that was not the first time, or person I have had the "stalking" conversation with. I decided to go on another stalking spree (if you will) during some precious free time (or as I like to call it refusing to do what I should and wasting time) I found a whole slew of peeps that I used to know (it was like Christmas) and I knew it was time well spent. (I love it when I can add people to my secret google reader list) I started looking at Amber's friends and came across a blog that had some great advice about the appropriate time to comment on a blog you choose to frequent. John says " 5 out of 10 times is the proper ratio" for every 10 new posts you view you should comment on 5 of those posts. Now he does have a point since I do love getting comments on my amazingly funny, creative, and informative posts... however isn't the point of stalking not to let people know you are doing it? I am debating on this, if you read this and I don't know you read this feel free to comment because I actually am curious how many randoms (as in people not on my link list) out there read my blog. Let me know you thoughts. If you feel like following John's advice and you have viewed my last 10 posts I better see some comments.... However I don't go back to the way old ones and read the comments so feel free to count this as number 1 and start fresh.

Thanks for letting me use your thoughts and comments!
You know how I can't post without adding a picture no matter how random it may be. The one above has nothing to do with commenting, it was in the wonderful M-town Ghetto 4th of July Parade. "Last Ryde" is the company being promoted... interesting. Here is something you can comment about (look how easy I make it for you, I'm such a nice blogger) Do you think somebody is really in there taking their last ride? FYI: When I die you know I want my last ride to be in the Murray 4th of July Parade, how cool would that be! I have to remember to put that in my will, when I get one. Now get to commenting!

I think it was 7 out of every 10, and you fail miserably at it! I think you are the worst commenter. You can't tell me your comment when I'm talking to you on the phone, I want the proof that more than 3 people read my blog on my blog. I was thinking this post would be a little more subtle but I think you might get a response out of it! Guess we will just wait and see. Did you get Statcounter?

I originally said 7 out of 10, but then realized I was being hypocritical, I don't comment that often, I just wanted others to comment more on my page more, so I changed my recommendation to 5 out of 10.

Commenting as a stalker can be tricky though, I usually only do it anonymously... if you allow anonymous comments you may get more, that is if you can handle people saying what they really think and not knowing who they are...

Thanks for the shout out, I don't know if you noticed but I have linked to your blog for a while, it's a good read.

Well know that we've found each other I dont know what to do... I can't very well put you in my friends section- cause we aren't friends... yet. But you dont fit in the current links section since you now know who I am and that I read your blog. Its a bit of a quandry...
