Surprise Easter!!
We started out the weekend with a surprise party for Jon. The last "surprise" I had for him. I sent him golfing with his friends and got ready. He honestly had NO idea (or so he says).

Since it was Stacy's actual birthday I put her name on the cake and made people sing to her.

Jon told her they should blow out the candles one at a time...

so they did.

Saturday we got up and had an awesome Easter egg hunt (children and adults). Since it was a little chilly we went to the gym at the chucrch and had to hunt for the eggs in the dark with flashlights. It was so much fun, the kid (big and little) had a blast! I didn't have a car (Jon went to work) so I went back to my parents and helped my mom fill Easter baskets. This one was for Sara, I tied the bow.Josh, as you can tell, was very excited by the cute bow I tied.We dyed some easter eggs and mine (like always) were the coolest. I made one that resembled a tulip... it is so good I bet you can't even find it in the picture. This is all of the eggs we dyed. The last egg was dipped in all of the colors and turned out looking a bit like dirt.

Justin decided to hide it and give Josh a 5 min limit to find the camo egg... If he succeeded he would get this "special" easter dollar. He didn't find it before the time ran out.

Josh hide the egg after and Justin was able to find it, but only because he cheated. The Easter Bunny LOVES Jon and I! On Sunday we went over the the Hansen's to celebrate Jon, Stacy, and G-pa Jensen's birthday and eat a lovely dinner. (yes that was celebration #4 for Jon... sadly he still has one more coming) The Easter bunny told me that this little chick needed to go on my desk to make me smile throughout the day.... I think it will work.

Hope you had a great weekend too!

My view. This is my view every wednesday from now until eternity.
I am just hoping it warms up soon.

Sometimes Utah is picturesque.

Like yesterday.

Must have been mother nature's gift to Jon.

Happy Birthday!!!
Pretty sure I get wife of theyear with this awesome stuff.
Jon has been mentioning how he thinks I should make 7 layer dip... so surprise #1 was...
How do people eat this... gross
The 2nd surprise was the one I was most excited about,
I got the idea from this website and it all started with these supplies
I put reasons I was glad he was born on the back of each picture and tied them to ribbon
This morning I got up and blew up the balloons and tied the pictures to them.
This is the final result...25 balloons with 25 reasons I am glad he was born.
Pretty cute.
Jon appreciated every little detail.. ha ha
I do think he was surprised.
I still have a few more things up my sleeve.
Happy Birthday Jon, you're the best!
along with my shoes obsession I am also obsessed with pictures, weddings, my wedding, birthdays, holidays and anything worth celebrating.

What a random combination. This sign says:
Injected? April 2011
Not sure what message Iceberg is trying to send, all I know is it didn't make me want to go there.
Jon and I opted for Menchies instead.
Even with theses signs I still am already planning another trip to St. George...
as soon as Mrs. Mckelvey returns from her summer away.

I have a feeling the months of May-September are going to be very busy and exciting around our house, if we are ever home.

My new favorite place....
St George!
Jon and I headed on a little trip this weeekend to support our fellow VIDA friend as she tied the knot. We drove down in 4 hours with one short bathroom/refueling stop. We made it there by about 4:30 and went on a walk to enjoy the SUN! We ended up at Denny's (classy I know) and ate a little dinner.
Then we walked around and found this gem... (take your kids here if you go to St. George)Jon kept talking about the hotel he stayed in as a kid and the putting green, every hotel we passed he would say "i think that was it" until we came to the Best Western Coral Hills He was in heaven. We stumbled across Menchies and I was in heaven. (it might be right up there with Golden Spoon) Jon insisted we go. The cup says "we make you smile" and I have to agree. During this little adventure we were introduced to Strawberry Bobas Jon LOVES these things now, I found them online but they are freakin' expensive maybe for christmas. This was the sunrise on the morning of the wedding. The happy couple. a reinactment of a famous pose. random picture of my cute shoes. I got so many comments about these (from friends and strangers)

(not quite as good looking as the picture from Peru, but these will do.)St. George TempleThe dinner was held at the Red Mountain Spa and Resort.
It was amazing! Mama B. threw these centerpieces together last minute.Ring Ceremony (look at the backdrop)After a lovely dinner Jon and I went back to change and headed out to wander. We had so much fun! We ended up at Menchies again... not sure how that happened!! After a lovely rest we headed back home. Another 4 hours only 1 stop and only 1 bout of Road rage.
We had to make it home in time for Jon's birthday celebration.Any family get-together with my side alway involves some sort of game...
if it is warm it is ALWAYS hood golf (formally neighborhood golf)Katie babe wanted to join in..E didn't care so she picked dandylions... in the neighbors yard
(as we know my mom would never let that many be on her lawn)Special K blew out his candles... ha ha silly little kids.
Happy Birthday to my sweet husband!
I am SO excited for the few surprises I have in store on his actual birthday.
I have a feeling he won't appreciate them as much as I do but they are going to be CUTE!!
