Once upon a time...
Yesterday I was looking at a bridal blog and saw this dress.
(I love the cake on this blog! )
Thats how mine looked once upon a time.
With the help of one talented seamstress and a month long process it turn into ...

HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION!
We are having a HALLOWEEN celebration at work today!
SO... JH and I made treats last night.
I got the recipe from here I dipped some in semi-sweet and drizzled some in milk chocolate. I tried one last night and I thought they were good.... lets hope my coworkers think the same.
On saturday JH and I are carving pumpkins!!!!
This is one of my FAVORITE activities of the year!
Hopefully my pumpkin turns out.
I have to beat JH and I am trying something new.
My idea came from here
Cross your fingers!

I will take a bag.My SIL Holly informed me about these beauties.
I will be heading to my local Fresh Market after work to see if they sell them in Murray and not just up by her. Jon will love it (since he LOVES chips and salsa anyway, why do you think we went to the land of freshly baked chips and homemade salsa on our honeymoon?)
GO UTES!

I want a baby.
Just so I can buy it a Wubbanub
one of our patients has one of these and it is THE cutest thing ever! Don't worry. I wouldn't break HIPAA This isn't our patient.

10.27.2010
After the snowy morning, Utah decided to brighten up and look like fall by the time I was on my way home. This is the fence I have to jump day in and day out to shorten my travel time to work. I jump it in skirts, pants, holding things, and talking on my phone. I have amazed people by doing this and had a few ask me if I would teach them how to do it. I have also had people just stand there and watch expecting me to flash them (don't worry I have mastered "modest fence hopping") There are a few slick hill from the fence to my car. Sometimes it gets interesting. I have slipped and my purse, lunch, and phone flew into the snow, it was funny. Now onto the sight I will see for the next few months. Especially during finals. We do have a study with a desk.... apparently JH would rather study here. The BEST nightime snack EVER! Take one part jif. One part toast. A shake or 8 or this. (do you see my cute candy corn towel in the background.. thats from my mom, she likes ALL to be as festive as she is) and bam! yummy chocolate chip peanutbutter toast. It is warm, and delicious. If you use dark chocolate its completely healthy right?go me! another wedding free post!

Its beginning to look a lot like... HALLOWEEN.
(Thanks to the special person who cleaned off my car this morning, and no it wasn't my cute husband)
Thank you snow, now I have NO excuse to not clean the house.
Laundry, vacuuming, cleaning the pink room... yes PINK, and cooking dinner.
What a fun Wednesday date night JH and I will have!

Something old

something new

something borrowed

and a dream come true.

Yep, back to the wedding we go.

The jewelry I wore on my wedding day was very special to me. First off I got my wedding ring, JH's gift to me that day.Secondly, thanks to my Aunt Megan, I had my earrings (the same ones she wore on her wedding day) They were in my wedding can with a sweet letter from her. I had already decided to wear pearls that day so it worked out perfectly.

On my 16th birthday my parents gave me a very special necklace. I always thought I would wear that on my wedding day, but in 2004 my dad gave me a pearl necklace for Christmas. (They were from India, he got them on one of his first trips over there. He was also nice enough to pick up pearl earrings for my one rockstar bridesmaid/matron of honor/bestest friend/coworker and my SIL and future SILs) When he gave me the necklace I was sure I would wear it on my special day. After JH and I got engaged my mom told me she and my dad had a special wedding day gift for me. She wouldn't give me any hints, I had to wait 6 months to find out what it was. On the morning of my wedding I was in the kitchen getting my hair done when I mentioned it to my mom. She went upstairs and her and my dad came down with ones of these...
(I wish this was a picture of me buts its not) I was shocked and so surprised. It had a beautiful necklace in it.
I didn't end up wearing it that day but it is still special to me. I wore it to church yesterday and it got me thinking about my small collection.

Weekend Update
From one rainy cold football game to another.
Jon's Flag football league Cold, wet, and shivering... thats how the Utah game was.
A nice sunday at home followed.
Welcome snow... I am not ready for you.

Because SJF and CFL complained
I will do a post without wedding pictures.
I was told yesterday just because I like to look at them all the time doesn't mean everybody else does. So onto the honeymoon we go.
Jon surprised me with the location of our honeymoon. He wanted to keep it a secret until we left but on Valentine's Day he ended up giving me a couple of gifts, hints and a poem. The poem was hilarious and very clever and revealed the location of our vacation.
We stayed at the Little AMerica the night before and had a funny elevator experience on the way up to our room. The next day we got up BRIGHT and EARLY to catch our flight.
(thanks mom & dad for the lovely gifts)
We went to MEXICO and stayed in this lovely place. We lounged around for a few days, ate lots of food, answered the question "why go all inclusive if you don't drink?" many times, and enjoyed every moment. We had so much fun snorkeling...
and enjoyed an outing to XPOLR it was SO much fun!

All in all it was an AMAZING honeymoon.

I wouldn't be opposed to going on them more often.

Some other things we enjoyed.... that we don't have pictures of:

Sleeping in.

FOOD!

soft serve.

Food.

sun.

pools.

the kiddie water park.

a trip to the city.

GELATO!!!

a huge bathroom with a lovely shower.

staying in our swimming suits most of the time.

free room service

naps in the sun and by the pool.

a free breakfast and "sales pitch"

the rain

pool (billards not the kind that hold water)

lizards... gross

the ocean

not talking to anybody

TV channels in spanish

being together

the credit card mishap.

our first trip as husband and wife!

I look forward to many many more... now back to the wedding pictures.

I ruined it.
(ok maybe Jon helped too)
So in the pre-Jon days the Lang family had a trip to India planned forMay of 2010
(or atleast I like to think we did).
Well unless you are new to this blog (and maybe the world)
My brothers still give me a hard time for that and I still really want to go to India.
So while I was daydreaming about that trip today I thought...
"While you're over there you might as well go here."
Isn't it dreamy.

I can hardly contain myself.

So here is my plan.
I WILL get to India one day and when I do...
I will take and extra week and stay at this lovely hotel
(can you call it that?)Ok maybe that is a lofty goal
butI WILL one day stay in a room on the water
with an outdoor shower
and no agenda
somewhere in the world.
For right now though I hope it is HERE.

Love waits for one thing...

The RIGHT moment.

<-------- take a look over there, I have added some AWESOME quotes.
