Where did 2008 go?
I'm almost positive it was only a few days ago when I finished my last final and couldn't believe I had graduated from college. Not long after that I was job hunting and after a long process finally settled at my current job in the Metabolic Clinic at the U of U.

....Then it was off to Chicago for a business trip (what the, only old people go on those).....

....A jog from Logan to Park City was in there somewhere...

A rockin 23rd birthday filled with work, ifly, Dreyer's Ice Cram kick off and a little boating came next.....

The birth of niece #2 followed soon after....

..... a trip to ALBANIA to pick up my little brother from his mission....

....a bug smashing/leaf collecting/reindeer hunting Thanksgiving..... .....the greatest event of the year (one of twelve that is)..... ...finished off with a trip to the Lang Chalet (as some call it). Lets not forget the massive amount of snow Santa gave me for Christmas!

Now looking back it was quite the year, how am I ever going to top it.....

I think I'll find a way..... 2009 here I come!

LET IS SNOW, PLEASE!
This is what I woke up to this morning, finally after lots of wind the night before (it doesn't help if you keep your windows open, but I refuse to close them. Sleeping in the cold is SO much better). Now life is complete and we can start celebrating Christmas.

Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin, the oldest living apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died last night, age 91.

Elder Wirthlin had gone to bed at his Salt Lake City home, and died peacefully at about 11:30 pm of causes incident to age. His oldest daughter, Jane Wirthlin Parker, was present. A member of the family had been staying and caring for Elder Wirthlin, whose wife, Elisa Young Rogers Wirthlin, died in 2006.

He had continued to work at his office right up until the Thanksgiving holiday. Funeral arrangements will be announced. (lds.org)

Bowling!

Thanksgiving leaf hunt with Emri

Enough said.

I think I finally did it!!!
I think I finally figured out my life (at least up until September 2009). I know, I know... after 23 years of just dinkin' around I now officially know (if all goes as planned) what 2009 will bring! I am so excited!!! The new adventures, the traveling, the excitement.... it's all going to be so good! I have been stressing over new jobs, random certifications, schooling, when to apply, where to find the time to shadow, and now my newest stress.... how to prepare for a Relief Society lesson every month. But thanks to a lot of thought, some restless nights, and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (I know what a weird movie to give an epiphany but it really got the ball rolling) I figured it all out and now I can't wait! Stay tuned... 2009 is coming fast. Maybe if you're lucky I'll put a few hints here and there to clue you into the big plans!! On another exciting side note I filled up my car for $20.05 (it stopped at $19.97 but I had to make it even and missed the 20 mark. Yeah for cheap gas!!!)

SORRY FOR THE LACK OF PICTURES
I thought this was pretty funny.... I will answer them for myself, if you want the original answers please click here.
These are his first date questions. I usually ask questions like what is your favorite texture? How are you at bowling? How do you feel about...? You know random stuff like that, just to make things funny and see how they react. Oh first dates.... gotta love em.
Do you like soccer?
I'm not very good at it. I played on a intermurral team my first year of college and was ALWAYS the goalie. I was the only girl willing to sacrafice my body to keep the ball out of the goal. oh and I LOVE soccer players, dated 2 of them in high school!
Do you have any pets?
Used to, sad story. Thanks for brining it up.
Which character is sexier Indiana Jones or James Bond?
This is a good question which James Bond are you referring to?
Which do you like better, Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park?
I LOVE the Simpsons, don't really watch the other 2
What is your favorite season?
Summer because of boating, hiking, anything outdoors, warm mornings, sun, sand , surf... oh and my BIRTHDAY!!
Fall because of the color changes and the perfect crisp mornings with great warm afternoons and lovely evenings.
Winter because of skiing, snow, snow shoeing, hot chocolate, fires, SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!!
I have no feelings of love or hate for Spring it is just kind of there. I like it because it prepares me for Summer and it is a nice break from Winter. To tell you the truth I love them all, thats why I continue to reside in this lovely state.
What is something embarrassing that has happened to you?
Lots of stuff, I know that answer is boring but I really can't think of a specific thing, I usually get embarrassed for 5 seconds before I burst out in laughter.
Hot dog or Hamburger?
I've never really been a fan of hamburgers, so I guess by default I take a hot dog.
What male celebrity do you find most attractive?
Do I have to pick one? I love Kirby from Lipstick Jungle, Nate and Dan from Gossip Girl, Any of the men on greys, Dr. House ( I love him and his show)..... this list goes on...
Do you start your car and run back in or sit and shiver while it warms up?
I am a sit and shiver type. I am all ready when I go to my car, there is no turning back and going inside. Plus it is VERY easy to steal a car when the keys are in it and its already started. I don't know about you but I don't want to start my day off walking out to find my driveway empty.
What is a question I would never ask you and what is the answer?
You can ask any question you want. The answer may be I plea the 5th, a sarcastic, or if you're lucky it will be the truth.
Just a little comedy for those of you who have missed my lovely "comic relief" posts.

TODAY IS GLORIOUS!!

I just filled up my car and it was $23.05. It seems like only yesterday it was $49.00. I love it! I am so happy, can this day get any better?

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

The  Pride and Joy of Utah
(and something that holds a special place in my heart)
I love the University of Utah!! I love being a graduate from there, I love the games, I love the campus, I love working there (somedays), I love the color red, I love the athletic staff, I love it all! I consider myself VERY lucky to be on the field at the home games and interact with the fun people who work there. Even though it takes up a considerable amount of time (when I should be doing homework or working on my applications) I love helping out at the games. It is crazy busy sometimes, boring sometimes, but lots of fun all of the time. I was just thinking about how much I will miss it. I would be willing to help out every year, but I am hoping to get into PA school (outside of Utah, since I am not applying to the U) next year which will take me away from a place I truly love. Utah is the best place ever: lakes, mountains, snow, the U, and everything else. I can't believe I didn't want to move up here. What was I thinking? Anyways just thought I would give a shout out to my UTES who are currently doing great! (lets hope we will keep it up as we face some of our harder competition) If you are ever at the games I am one of the ones running around giving away free stuff, or hanging out in the SW corner of the field enjoying the game.  Does life get any better? GO UTES!!
Oh and on another exciting note, Aunt Panties (thats me) has another bundle of joy to add to her collection (a sad collection of 1 that is) Katie Elizabeth was born on September 18th. I haven't met her (and probably won't until her blessing) but from the pictures I've see she is pretty cute! Congrats Jason, Holly, and Emri!

A cry for help....

As you can see form the lack of posts in the last little bit I really don't have the time to do the things in life I want to do. I go to work, school, home to do homework, work on PA applications, intern at the football games (this is the only thing I get to do that I truly love) I also shadow a PA here and there and am working on not going insane. I wish there were more hours in a day so I could get an adequate amount of sleep each night and have a few minutes each day to relax. I know everybody reading this probably thinks  "I'm just as busy as she is, what is she complaining about?"  Well it just makes me feel better. The reason for all of this is to try to guilt somebody into changing my blog. My free trial of photoshop ran out and I haven't had the time (or the funds, I can't bring myself to spend that much money on something other then gas) to change my nice "summery" layout to something more suited for the fall/ Utah football season. Anyways if anybody feels slightly sorry for me and wants to take some time to make my blog fit the season, please let me know. I'm not looking for anything fancy just different. Hope all is well, I'm off to Albania to pick up my brother in 3 weeks, so hopefully there will be a great post after that. In the mean time I will also be working on applications, trying to figure out life, trying not to die, fitting in sleep here and there, and trying to enjoy life, so maybe somewhere in there something eventful will happen and my blog will become more active and interesting..... If not hang in there and wait for the Albania post and then the BYU/UTAH game after that. Maybe I'll just quit everything and move here....

Survey says.....I need to travel more.
I only got to level 8 which means I don't know the world as well as I should. Time to quit and go traveling! My other record is being only 4 km away from a place!

I'm going to be a big sister!
No my mother is not pregnant (that would be weird) I got accepted to the Big Brothers Big Sisters program! They are currently trying to find my "little" and once they do we will be all set to hang out! I am so excited. If you have a few extra hours a month you should think about becoming a Big brother or sister. In the Salt Lake valley there are about 160ish kids waiting to be matched. You only have to commit to a hour or two 2-3 times per month. How can you pass up the opportunity to act like a kid again? I will keep you updated as soon as I find out who my little is!

Happy Birthday to Me!!
August 1: I went to work, and got the coolest present from Bridget... a color wonder coloring book. I love to color so I was really excited. After work I went to Costa Vida with Kim and then off to Dreyers Ice Cream Headquaters for the Utah vs. BYU ice cream kick off. Then it was time to sit in hours of traffic while heading up to Ogden to go indoor skydiving! It was a blast and my instructor was really good looking. Off to the cabin to go boating for a few hours and eat some delicious homemade pizza (a birthday staple). It was a wonderful birthday spent with Logan, Brittany, Justin, mom and dad.
August 2: The fun isn't over yet! We got up early to get in some good water, came home to eat breakfast and enjoy some fun conversation and back out we went to try wake surfing (which is a blast) Afterwards Dean, Billie, Lisa, and Reed stopped by the cabin and we had a nice little family bonding. I had to race back to Murray to get ready for a BBQ with some friends, which turned into watching X-games in the pool house and talking about indoor skydiving and wake surfing. Oh well it was fun anyways! It was a fun day, but I have to say from August 1 at 12:30 pm to August 2 at 5:30pm were the greatest moments of the birthday weekend. (besides seeing some people out of the work setting in my backyard. Thanks for coming Amber and Jared!)
August 3: To end the fabulous weekend of birthday fun I went to church and colored in my new gift! I also had a family party with Logan, the Snow's and my parents. Just the normal family tradition of hiding present and hanging out. Brooklyn and Ellie helped me find all of my gifts and got a piece of candy for their hard work. We had a few sword fights, ate some Baskins Robbins mint chocolate chip ice cream cake (Ellie had 2 pieces and 2 mini ice cream cones), sat and talked about random stuff (how can you not with Dave around), and ended the night watching B and E fight over whose turn it was and tried to show each other up with their incrediable somer salts, hand stands and kart wheels. It was a great birthday and I think 23 is going to be a good year!
I have pretty funny video of every part of the weekend but I am too lazy to post it, so just use your imagination and the provided pictures!
